Yes, you are.

We were playing Apples to Apples with my family last night.  One of the words we were playing with was "adorable" and my Mom turned to Johnny and said, "You're adorable!"   Very indignantly Johnny replied, "No I'm not!!"

Pause.  Pause.

"I'm ravishing!"

Yes, you are!

Why being a mom is a gift, not a sacrifice...

It's one of my favorite things when my kids ask me, "Hey Mom!  Guess what?"  Makes me smile every time.  That was Damien's greeting to me this morning.

"Hey Mom!  Guess what?"
"What Bud?"
"I was thinking, last night I was thinking, that I want to clean the whole house for you."
"Really?"
"Yep.  I'm going to clean everything for you so that you don't have to, because you have a baby in your tummy."

That's right folks.  My son.  It's one of those moments that you can't decide whether to laugh for joy, hug him to pieces, smile until your face breaks, or cry for the sweet sincerity in his voice.  One of those moments that make being a parent completely worth it.  It doesn't matter if he really cleans anything because he meant it with his whole heart.  Who else offers their whole heart to you so freely?
